“וּפְרוֹשׂ  עָלֵינוּ סֻכַּת  שְׁלוֹמֶךָ”

We are grateful for the Love that protects us from below and shelters us from above.

Dear Lab/Shul,

Sukkot Starts TONIGHT!

Join Lab/Shul in partnership with our friends at The Neighborhood for Sukkot in the Neighborhood, a 10-day festival held in the Sukkah at Luria Academy of Brooklyn, featuring the spectacular designs of textile artist Hilla Shapira. Check out their robust schedule of offerings and be sure to join us for one of the events we will be co-hosting there next week:

  • 10/3  Song Circle: Sing Your Heart Out Join Shira Kline and Rachel Chang (Queer Nigun Project and LUNAR Collective) in the inclusive seasonal Sukkah space to raise our collective spirit together under the big sky. Come with a song! Come sing along! Come to sing with the breeze and harmonize with the trees. As singing is a listening practice as well, gentle instrument play is welcome – no musical experience is necessary! Bonus: Feel free to adorn yourself in shades of purple to contribute to this high vibe Sukkah art installation. Learn more here >

  • 10/8 Unscrolled – Join us at the tail end of Sukkot as we “unroll the scroll” and celebrate cycles with the beginning of the new cycle of the Torah.  An ancient ritual with the signature Lab/Shul artist-driven approach. Live music, dance, healing ritual, Torah-tarot, kids engagement and a pot-luck picnic. All ages, all faiths. Open and accessible to all. Learn more here >

Chag Sameach! – Wishing you a joyful holiday!

Love,

The Lab/Shul Team
