Connecting Across The Divide Workshop
FeaturedLab/Shul invites you to join Itaf Awad (Palestinian from Haifa) and Aura Hammer (Jew from the Galilee), who have worked together for over 20 years to build and support peace, equality and connection, for an evening talk and workshop. Itaf and Aura will share with us their journey, and how their work partnership and sisterhood has survived the difficulties over the years and especially the Israel-Gaza war. The workshop will offer a taste of The Way of Council, the way of listening and speaking from the heart, which is what created the strong roots of their connection and work together.

FeaturedJoin Lab/Shul Co-Founder and Ritual Leader Naomi Less and Rabbi Alissa Platcow, founder of the Reform Jewish Burial Society (Chevra Kadisha*) in NYC for an informational session on the history of Jewish burial societies, how it works and the potential opportunity to volunteer to serve alongside many other Jewish progressive communities in NYC. All Lab/Shulers are welcome to attend the informational session. To sign up for the subsequent training one must live in NYC. Coming to the info session does not commit you to being trained.

Plus Wonder invites you to an event in New York City in partnership with Parents Circle – Families Forum, who are dedicated to reconciliation and peace. They are a joint Israeli-Palestinian organization of over 750 bereaved families who have lost loved ones to the ongoing violence.
