It’s Time: Hear from Maoz Inon and Aziz Abu-Sarah about a New Horizon for Peace in Israel and Palestine
Activists and social entrepreneurs Aziz Abu-Sarah and Maoz Inon are at the forefront of a growing collaborative initiative of Palestinians and Israelis in the land. Just off organizing the biggest peace conference in Israel in 30 years and offering the closing remarks at the Netroots Nation Conference, together they are instigating a shift in vocabulary, coming from the lived experience in the region, to address the Israeli-Palestinian quagmire. Strategically, they are working to institutionalize unapologetic language of mutual equality, dignity and security, to serve as the core propelling any critical negotiations efforts.

Lab/Shul invites you to join Itaf Awad (Palestinian from Haifa) and Aura Hammer (Jew from the Galilee), who have worked together for over 20 years to build and support peace, equality and connection, for an evening talk and workshop. Itaf and Aura will share with us their journey, and how their work partnership and sisterhood has survived the difficulties over the years and especially the Israel-Gaza war. The workshop will offer a taste of The Way of Council, the way of listening and speaking from the heart, which is what created the strong roots of their connection and work together.

Voices of Determination: The NIF Community, One Year After October 7
In the aftermath of the terrible events of October 7 last year, while we were still reeling from the shock, NIF invited our supporters, friends, and family to come together for a virtual gathering. Dr. Yasmeen Abu-Fraiha and Avi Dabush, two amazing activists and leaders who experienced some of the trauma of that day, joined NIF's Daniel and Libby, to share their stories just a few days after the seventh. Now, one year later, we're checking back in with them and taking a moment to check in on ourselves.
