Hey Lab/Shul –
Raanan Gabriel is a lauded international graphic designer, born in Israel and living with his family in Woodstock NY. He is focused on bespoke typography, image-making and visual identity.
We’re super excited and honored that Raanan is our Artist-in-Residence for this High Holy Season, bringing his unique perspective to the way we reimagine sacred words and ancient symbols readapted for right now.
Our main logo for this season featuring the Havaya/Everpresence image? That’s Raanan’s design – created with a lot of intuition.
You’ll be able to appreciate and enjoy his art on display at the pop-up gallery during Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center. He will also be delivering a special keynote presentation on his unique take on creation, creativity and the Hebrew alphabet during the afternoon of Yom Kippur.
