Hey Lab/Shul,
Want to meet a Hebrew Priestess? We’re thrilled to introduce our fantastic lineup of ritual artists joining us this high holy season – including a just-ordained priestess! (Scroll down for the full list of talented leaders.)
We are thrilled to congratulate one of our beloved artists and educators, Stephanie, aka Steve, Guedalia, who was just ordained as a Kohenet – Hebrew Priestess, with the specific title of Kohenet Serakh HaMekonenet Doreshet Chochma U’Vaalat Chalom, Priestess Serakh the Grief Doula, Seeker of Wisdom and Bearer of Dreams.
In a moving ritual last week, Kohenet Serakh was ordained alongside many distinguished and creative leaders, artists and activists – led by our friends, founders and leaders of the Kohehent movement, Rabbi Jill Hammer, Shoshana Jedwab and Taya Ma-Shere.
Steve has been one of Lab/Shul’s most magical facilitators of creative family learning and Storahtelling. For three years during the pandemic, Steve in collaboration with Shira Kline, designed and led Shabbat ShaMorning, reimagining Saturday morning at home – a collaborative and flourishing program for young families. They have been an integral part of our Lab/Jr. High Holy Day and Raising the Bar team for a generation and this year we are so excited to welcome them to the sanctuary main stage Storahtelling.
Steve will be joined by stellar artists, teachers and musicians, and we can’t wait to weave this sacred season together.
