St. James Presbyterian Church + Online 409 W. 141st St, New York, NYJoin Lab/Shul’s Rabbi Amichai and Ben Freeman, with Rev. Derrick McQueen, pastor of St. James Presbyterian Church, and Jericho Vincent, founder of Temple of the Stranger, on the Fast of the 9th of Av to grieve in community and to explore how the ancestors can guide us in healing hatred within ourselves, in our communities, and in the world.

Join Lab/Shul and Temple of the Stranger for a profound experience of grieving in community as we observe the holiest day of mourning on the Jewish calendar, Tisha Ba'av. Using sacred texts and the power of our voices we'll explore the rituals of the mikonenet, the ancient female grief workers of the Jewish tradition. Led by Rabbi Amichai Lau-Lavie, Rav Jericho Vincent, and Spiritual Leader Shira Kline, featuring special guest Reverend Derrick McQueen.
