On May 1, 2021 Lab/Shul joined together to celebrate our collective courage and to rejoice in the light of Fearless Fire. In person and online, we ritually transcended from grief to relief in celebration of Lag B’Omer, the 33rd day between Passover and Shavuot.

WHAT IS LAG B’OMER:
Lag B’Omer – the 33rd day leading from Passover to Shavuot – is a minor Jewish holiday, traditionally marked as a day of respite from somberness and an opportunity for celebration. Some claim it as the date on which a deadly plague ended. Per popular tradition, the holiday honors the legacies of mystics and teachers of sacred wisdom, marking the passing of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai, one of the early teachers of kabbalah.
Bonfires are typically lit on this night, weddings are celebrated, and young children have their first haircut.
