Dear Lab/Shul,

As we are inching our way to celebrate the new year of the trees, we hope you are all cozying up to stay warm and dry during these below-freezing days we are experiencing on the East Coast! Tu B’Shvat (Jan 24-25, 2024) marks when the tree sap begins to rise, and life flows more easily through the veins of the tree roots and trunks. We might be shivering, but our days are starting to have a little bit more sunlight pouring in! We pray that Light and peace are returning, in every way.

“I want peace in every fiber of my body and my soul
May I rest in peace.”

Above is a short excerpt from Rabbi Amichai Lau-Lavie’s special poem offering via his instagram page that he shared earlier today. We hope it brings the deep thought, connection and peace we all find ourselves in need of at this moment.
