5 years, 2 pillars. Welcome to the future of Lab/Shul.

Since its inception in 2012, Lab/Shul has led the way in creating the congregation of the future, reaching a diverse audience of both engaged and lesser-affiliated Jews and those who love them. Building on seven years of rapid growth, Lab/Shul is looking ahead to its next five years, creating a strong foundation to support its growing the thriving community and preparing to shoulder the opportunity and responsibility of expanding its significant global impact for years to come.

In October 2018, Lab/Shul commenced a creative, collaborative Strategic Planning process, including the diverse voices of more than 200 community members. We reaffirmed our mission, created a new vision statement, identified two mutually supportive strategic “pillars” to support them both, as well as high level strategic objectives addressing Membership, Programming, a Permanent Home, Board and Volunteer Development, a Digital Strategy and Infrastructure. We welcome our community’s involvement as we enter the implementation phase of this important work.
