Dear Lab/Shul,
FunFact: The lunar Hebrew Calendar tells us that this is a leap year. Meaning we have a whole extra MONTH before the spring upheaval of Purim and Passover arrive, with their prophetic and hefty narratives that demand examination and embodiment.
What do we do with extra space and time outside of time? Sing More. Listen, more. Feel, more. Be Here, More. This Sabbath Queen, be here with us. Come to sit in a high-vibe sanctuary space where we’re bringing heavy hitter jazz flutist Elsa Nilsson to help move breath, more.
We find each other in song, to interrupt the dehumanization that war’s violence so enthusiastically promotes. And especially potent, this Shabbat we lift up the need for reproductive justice, in participation with NCJW’s National Repro Shabbat.
So, we invite you to let go of your week and take your time…with us. Whether you join in person or online, we’ll gather for an hour and a half of music, contemplation, and sensory experience to let Shabbat come through.
