This is a public statement for how we “be” together in communal space and enact our values.
We aspire to make Lab/Shul a place for all, and for all to respect the community and its norms and values.
We are a vibrant kaleidoscope of genders, races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, and diverse socio-political perspectives. All identities are welcome here, as long as you are open to sharing space with, respecting, and learning from those whose identities differ from your own. Our tent is large and welcoming, but it does not provide shelter for bigotry of any kind.
We are rooted in a deep love for the legacy of the Jewish tradition, and we are committed to honoring that tradition through transformation and reimagination.
When you engage with Lab/Shul you are consenting to be in a space inclusive of:

We strive to build a Lab/Shul community that is intergenerational, international, intersectional and interdependent upon the needs and values of those who choose to join us. We approach harm and conflict in our community guided by Restorative and Transformative Justice practices, prioritizing healing, accountability and transformation. We choose to collectively bring ourselves back to wholeness when we “miss the mark” and prioritize the quest for “at-one-ment”, acknowledging we have all harmed and been harmed.
