“We understand that black lives are sacred, inherently valuable, and irreplaceable.”

Today we hold the family of George Floyd in our hearts, as we mark one year since police took Floyd’s life. We hold in our hearts the activists, educators, lawyers, faith leaders, healers, protesters, and all who have fought for justice and accountability.

We share the Kaddish for Black Lives, created by our siblings at the Jewish Multiracial Network, as we mourn George Floyd, and all black lives lost at the hands of the police.

We will be marching today in New York City with the One Year Later March at 5:00pm EDT in Cadman Plaza.
