Lab/Shul’s Hanukkah fundraising campaign, #POWEROFEIGHT, is your chance to celebrate, illuminate and help us keep our lights shining bright for another year ahead.
Now entering our 5th year, Lab/Shul’s everybody friendly, artist-driven, God-optional, experimental mission has created sacred community for thousands of people in NYC and around the world. Dedicated to exploring, creating and celebrating innovative opportunities for contemplation, life cycle rituals, the arts, life-long learning and social justice, we seek to nourish our thirst for meaning, connection, spirituality and community.
Our goal is to raise $30,000 in 8 days from December 11th – December 19th. We’ll be sending out 8 digital gifts from Lab/Shul to the world, and, hopefully, receiving gifts in return from the world to Lab/Shul.

How 2 Flame
Here’s what we need from you:
1 – SET UP a simple web-based crowdfunding campaign with a personal fundraising goal of ANY amount.
2 – SHARE and re-share the online gifts Lab/Shul will be sending out each of the eight days of Hanukkah.
3 – TAG your friends, inviting them to donate and share with others.
Here’s what Lab/Shul will do for you:
Lab/Shul will send you simple step-by-step instructions on how to set up your crowdfunding site and provide verbiage for you to use social media and in emails.
Here’s when it’s all going down:
Mon. 12/4 – Lab/Shul will send instructions on setting up your crowdfunding site
Fri. 12/8 – Your site will be up and running
Mon. 12/11 – Lab/Shul sends out our first online gift and you begin sharing, tagging and emailing your network with the your personal crowdfunding donation link.
Tues, 12/19 – Campaign Closes
