I’m excited to celebrate the end of the High Holy days with many of you this coming Sunday at our UNSCROLLED CELEBRATION IN BROOKLYN!

Have you ever seen the Torah Scroll unraveled, from beginning to end? This powerful ritual invites us to embody the stories that define our lives and reimagine how we want to live them this coming year. Rituals, and symbolic objects like the Torah scroll, can hold the power to help us do that.

Today I invite you to join me on a journey that explores the power of sacred symbols and objects to bring more meaning to our lives. CHECK OUT THIS VIDEO INVITE TO THE COURSE.

Sacred relics, inherited heirlooms, family treasures, childhood crafts or found objects – beyond words, we make meaning of the world with artifacts that give shape to our values and aspirations.

Join me from your home for HEIRLOOMS, a seven part online study series exploring some of the most weird and wonderful Jewish heirlooms that define daily and festive moments of our reality.

What’s the story behind the Star of David, and what’s the reason for the threshold amulet that you can find on Jewish doors? How do we use some objects to walk our talk of justice and compassion, and others to give us grounding as we start the day?

Whether you are new to Jewish or to Jew-ish life or curious to know more about the treasures you’ve inherited – this course is for you! No experience is needed.

We’ll be looking at the layers of tradition and transmissions, some lesser known, and share our stories and recipes for making life more tactile and transformative, meaningful and inspired, personal and powerful.

Please note:

You can join a single session, all seven or whatever works for you.  We will share recordings of the sessions at the end of the course.

We are serious about everybody-friendly, so please get in touch with us if you want to join but the price is too high – we will be delighted to welcome you no matter what.

This course is a revised version of a similar course I taught a few years ago, entitled “Secret Seven”  — same symbols — but with a new twist.

Please be in touch with questions. See you on October 16th!

Please check out all the exciting events this coming weekend and coming up next week – out of the holiday season and into the new year.
