An Exploration of Surprising Symbolism, Feminist Theo/alogicy and Making Meaning of the Miraculous Mid-Pandemic

This moment of COVID, climate collapse and political instability calls us to re-visit our traditions symbols to nourish, comfort and guide us in these times. Can Chanukah, often thought of in militaristic terms, be re-framed to connect us more deeply with the earth, the body and nature? This conversation between theologian Melissa Raphael, Rabbi Amichai of Lab/Shul and Rabbi Daniel of Makor Hayim will explore what is revealed about Chanukah when considered in the light of the ancient and contemporary Jewish Goddess.

The event begins at 10am ET and 3pm UK time with a conversation between the speakers. From 11am/4pm there will be the opportunity for responses/questions from all participants.
