The Last Passover: A Political Parable about the Limits of Liberation
To help us reclaim our Seder tables as sacred spaces for safely sharing stories, songs and questions that honor all voices. Focusing on four new questions that respond to this complex moment, SAYDER helps us to hear each other’s truths, engage in honest conversations, raise our cups to life, peace, and collective liberation, together. Did the Exodus really happen? How does history get adapted to meet political means? Two different traditions narrate the Hebrew people’s origin story – what does this division between the two kingdoms’ versions have to do with the Passover story as we know it and the evolution of this sacred festival?
Below the Bible Belt Part 2 is an online Study Course with Rabbi Amichai Lau-Lavie. How the origin story of our forgotten feud can help direct us from discord and schism to diversity and pluralism. (January–December 2026)
