What can it look like to embody Jewish identity on our own terms? How might we marshal the tools of Jewish text and ritual practice to make meaning in our lives now?
Pass/Age, one of three BECOMING programs, is Lab/Shul’s rite of passage program for adults in their 20s through 50s who are navigating transitional moments and seeking to define their Judaism on their own terms, offered in weekend retreat formats, as well as 3-, 6, and 12-month programs.
Pass/Age guides work in pairs to guide a small group of about twelve participants through the Pass/Age curriculum, including facilitating discussion, journal prompts, and creative and experiential activities germane to building a dynamic, personally meaningful sense of Jewish identity. In addition, as the culminating “performance task” of this rite of passage, GENerate facilitators guide participants in creating an artistic reinterpretation of Torah or another piece of sacred text using Lab/Shul’s signature Storahtelling Maven Method™.
We are seeking creative teaching artists, clergy, and educators to join the ranks of Pass/Age trained guides! Might that be you? This opportunity is for you if you:

- Are comfortable working in a co-facilitation model
- Work with a proactive approach to addressing racism, ableism, sexism, classism, homophobia and transphobia
- and other forms of bias
