A Special 10/7 Commemoration

On the third anniversary of October 7, join UJA-Federation of New York and the Museum of Jewish Heritage — A Living Memorial to the Holocaust for a special commemorative event. We’ll hear words of comfort and inspiration from community leaders and elected officials as we officially launch Rooted: A Testament to Jewish Resilience, a powerful art installation honoring our community’s unwavering commitment to bringing the hostages home.

For 834 days of grief, hope, and collective action, hostage tags and pins became powerful symbols of solidarity and shared responsibility. You donated thousands of them to help preserve that legacy.

Now, these symbols have been transformed into a lasting public work of art by renowned Israeli artists Dede Bandaid and Nitzan Mintz, creators of the “Kidnapped” posters. Join us for an exclusive talkback with the artists and the installation’s curator, Shlomi Rabi, and hear from Andrei Kozlov, former hostage and artist, who now shares his story through his artwork worldwide.

Together we’ll honor our enduring bond forged through solidarity, action, and hope and commemorate this pivotal chapter in our Jewish communal history.
