DESCRIPTION:March for LGBTQ Asylum Seekers in NY\n\nLab/Shul is proud to join our justice siblings for a march\, on the Trans Day of Remembrance\, to ensure that the new administration honors its pledge to protect the LGBTQ community. \n\n\nWe light a candle in remembrance of our Trans siblings who have died in the hands of police and border patrol agents. \n\nUnder the first 100 days\, we demand the Biden/Harris administration to repeal the Trump administration’s executive order for asylum seekers to remain in Mexico. We demand protection for queer asylum seekers\, an end to the detention of queer migrants\, and housing for LGBTQ asylum seekers in New Yorkers. \nWe urge you to wear a mask and practice social distancing while attending this march. While it is of the utmost importance to continue to show up for justice\, it is also critical to keep our communities safe and healthy. \n\nOrganizers\n\nRDJ Refugee Shelter\nQueer Detainee Empowerment Project\nVoices 4\nRise and Resist\nACT UP NY
