DESCRIPTION:FamilyLab x Raising the Bar: Purim Dragtivity Time\nFamilies with ages 2-8 (siblings welcome) + our Raising the Bar current cohort + Raising the Bar Grads (and families) are invited to a powerful Purim celebration with Drag Queen Story Hour and Sez Me. Drag Queens and Artist Educators will guide our children of all ages to look beyond stereotypes and embrace unabashed expression of self.   \nAs Drag Queen Story Hour teaches\, “in spaces like this\, kids are able to… imagine a world where people can present as they wish\, where dress up is real.” \n  \nIn honor of the sharing and caring Purim traditions\, we’ll be packing gift bags of essentials for the Hetrick-Martin Institute – a New York City-based non-profit organization devoted to serving the needs of lesbian\, gay\, bisexual\, transgender\, or questioning youth ages 13–24\, and their families.   \nLearn more about the incredible work of Drag Queen Story Hour and Sez Me\, two organizations on the frontlines of social justice working toward inclusivity and acceptance in the field of gender identity and gender fluidity. \n***Please note: there will be a small video crew present at this event to capture footage for an organizational video which will be distributed publicly. If you do not wish to be filmed\, or have your child filmed\, you are still welcome to attend\, and our staff will ensure your wishes are respected.***
