Traditionally\, this day and related ceremonies erase the Palestinian experience and reinforce narratives of blame and hopelessness. \nOur Joint Memorial Ceremony is different – it provides a unique opportunity for Israelis and Palestinians to grieve and heal together. In mourning side by side\, we seek not to equate narratives but to transform despair into hope and build bridges of deep compassion that can change reality. Do you love to host\, to hang\, or to feast? Come meet the Feast Team\, learn about what we do and join the party. \nDecember 2 – Rabbi Amichai’s Alef Bet students explore the post-patriarchal Sabbath table for Jewish living in the 21st Century. \nJanuary 6 – The GENerate community brings saging wisdom to our ever evolving selves and to a re-imagined Shabbat experience. \nFebruary 3 – The Lab/Shul Board & Leadership  Teams will circle up to guide the community through the beauty of the Shabbat basics. \nMarch 3 – Storahtelling Artists & Educators go behind the scenes in this week’s Torah story to reveal ancient connection to today’s Shabbat rituals. \nApril 7 – Pass/Age participants have been on a re-imagined rite of passage  journey with other seekers and are opening their table to the wider Lab/Shul community. \nMay 5 – Kaddish Club’s tender voice invites us all for Shabbat basics in the care of community. \nJune 2 –Raising the Bar (RTB) families celebrate coming of age milestones around the Shabbat table.

Sit\, Exhale… \n(6:45pm Zoom Opens) \n7:00pm – 8:30pm of Zen Shabbat: Ritual music\, meditation\, and spiritual teachings led by Sensei Koshin Paley Ellison and Spiritual Leader\, Shira Kline. \nLocation & Capacity\nWe are thrilled to hold Zen Shabbat in person at the New York Zen Center for Contemplative Care\, and on Zoom! In order to keep our community safe\, and socially-distanced\, we are limiting in-person capacity to forty-five people. \nAccessibility\nThe Zendo is on the 4th floor.
