DESCRIPTION:ReCollect\nA Kaddish Meal Hosted by Lab/Shul’s Kaddish Club\nWe selected this date in part to acknowledge the grief many of us feel around the 1-year anniversary when the Covid 19 lockdown began across the US.   \nWe are rekindling our Kaddish Club meals online\, offering an intimate way to support each other during times of active mourning and for those observing a yartzheitz. \nWhether experiencing a recent loss\, remembering a loved one who passed long ago\, or showing up to support community\, we will gather each season to acknowledge feelings of loss that can be particularly painful as we anticipate an empty chair at the table. We will share memories and poetry\, break bread together\, and recite Kaddish for our loved ones – the ancient memorial prayer. \nThis meal will be held with love by Naomi Less\, Lori Roth Gale\, Sandi DuBowski\, Dina Friedman and other community facilitators. We will  co-create sacred space for each other in both large and small groups to remember our loved ones. \nPlease Note: Unlike the Virtual Mourner’s Kaddish call\, this brunch will be held with video screens on. \n  \nYou can join our weekly Virtual Mourner’s Kaddish Call\, every Thursday at 12:00pm ET.

He has practiced meditation since 2005 including over four years of residential intensive Zen training and countless silent retreats.

Joan grew up in Maine near the ocean where she spent her free time exploring forests and coastlines. She went on to live in NYC where she had the honor of working on a desegregation project in  NYC Public Schools District 1 from 2014-2018.  \nHer work has most recently been exhibited at the Whatcom Museum and the CoCa Gallery.
