Inspired by the Four Children of the Passover Haggadah—each representing a distinct archetype and response to life\, and by the four questions of the Seder—we will gather as a community on this sacred night of atonement on which we don’t eat but do get to ask big questions about liberation and identity: \n\nWhat does it mean to be Jewish today?\nWhere do our loyalties lie?\nHow do we hold both hurt and hope\, shame and pride?\n\nThrough an interactive panel with Lab/Shul’s ritual team and special guests\, combined with opportunities for personal reflection and shared response\, we’ll confront the hardest questions of belonging and belief in this moment\, and open our hearts to the responsible possibilities of renewal and repair. \n*This program will be held following the Kol Nidrei ritual and is open to all who are joining us on this night\, in person or online.  \n\nREGISTRATION >> included with High Holy Days Registration\n

DESCRIPTION:OCTOBER 7TH: TWO YEAR VIGIL\nTues Oct 7th\n7:00pm EST\nUnion Square\n  \n  \n\nWith broken\, yet still breaking hearts – along with Israelis for Peace – we invite you to the second October 7th memorial vigil. \nNot even in our worst nightmares did we imagine that we would be convening for the second memorial while the bombs are still dropping – during an active genocide – during the continued abandonment\, if not the direct killing of the hostages – during man-made famine – during ethnic cleansing – during the destruction of whole cities – during state-sanctioned deadly pogroms in the West Bank – during the disappearance of thousands of Palestinians to be tortured in military prisons\, with no charges – during the daily arrests of anti-war protestors all over Israel – during the international rise of authoritarianism and fascism. \nSo in this hell\, in this darkness\, we will come together\, in defiance\, and honor the sanctity of all human life. \nPlease join us.
