SUMMARY:Dawn Shavuot
DESCRIPTION:Dawn: Shavuot\nDAWN is Reboot’s all-night interpretation of the magical and mighty holiday of Shavuot. Gathering digitally\, we will spend the night immersed in music\, comedy\, food\, learning and conversation – all presented by some of the greatest artists\, rabbis and thinkers of our generation. Choosing personal adventures through a digital festival experience\, we will unpack the mysteries of the Jewish calendar’s best-kept secret. \nReboot and the Jewish Emergent Network have seen first-hand how the power of imagination can translate and transform Jewish ritual and ideas. In 2008 and 2010 Reboot hosted DAWN festivals in San Francisco – evolving the Shavuot experience through the lens of arts and culture. With DAWN 2020\, we are amplifying creative ideas and bringing in wider perspectives to create a one-of-a-kind Shavuot festival experience. DAWN aligns with Reboot’s wider response to COVID-19\, as we are hosting a series of public digital programs that showcase and explore new pathways for wandering Jews and the world we live in.

SUMMARY:Jew Too? Not Your Bubbe's Seder
DESCRIPTION:Jew Too? Not Your Bubbe’s Seder\n\nJoin Rabbi Emily Cohen\, Rabbi Tarlan Rabizadey and Rabbi Mira Rivera for a live Zoom episode of “Jew Too?”\n\nPop culture might tell you that every seder comes with brisket\, yiddishisms\, and Jews of Eastern European heritage\, but not all Jews are Ashkenazi\, and seders are as diverse as our people. We’ll learn from Rabbi Tarlan Rabizadeh– the first Persian female rabbi – and Rabbi Mira Rivera – co-founder of “Harlem Hevruta:” a brave space for Jews of Color – about their stories of this sacred season.\n\n\n \n\n\nDuring this time of physical distance\, “Jew Too?” is offering Zoom episodes produced beyond the year’s partnership with B’nai Jeshurun to respond to this unprecedented moment. This is the first such episode. “Jew Too” is excited to continue to collaborate with B’nai Jeshurun to bring you monthly produced episodes. You can find the full series of this season’s episodes on SoundCloud and we hope you’ll listen and share!\n\n\n\nClick here to join
